PRACTICAL GUIDES

Demolition waste removal in Amsterdam

Waste removal depends on material, quantity and access. Construction and demolition waste does not belong in ordinary household collection. Plan equipment and collection locations in advance.

Separate material streams

Rubble, plasterboard, timber, metals and equipment can require different processing. Identify unusual or suspicious material before an ordinary waste route is agreed.

Skip positioning

A skip on private land differs from equipment on public land. Check the applicable municipal procedure and the available positioning space; a place on the street cannot be assumed.

Upper-floor transport

Stairs, lift dimensions and permitted loads influence handling. Protect shared routes and agree where heavy material can temporarily be collected.

Preparation at a glance

  • Estimate materials and quantities.
  • Check skip or equipment arrangements.
  • Photograph the complete route outside.

Frequently asked question

Can building rubble go with bulky household waste?

Do not assume this. Check current municipal guidance and arrange a suitable construction-waste route.
