PRACTICAL GUIDES

Preparing a demolition notification

Collect the removal boundaries, building documents, material information and estimated waste volume. The required attachments depend on the activity; follow the current official Omgevingsloket form.

Describe the complete activity

A description such as bathroom renovation may be too broad. List removed components, affected rooms and retained structural elements. Include drawings, photos and available material inventories; unknown material is not automatically harmless.

Responsibilities and start date

Identify the applicant and who supplies each document. Allow for the applicable submission period. Check any duties to report the start and end of notifiable work as well as the original submission.

Check completeness

IPLO explains that an incomplete notification is not a notification. Check the mandatory information and attachments before relying on a start date. Complex work may require additional documents.

Preparation at a glance

  • One scope for the whole activity.
  • A document list with responsible parties.
  • A programme that fits the applicable procedure.

Frequently asked question

Can the work be planned while documents are missing?

A provisional plan is possible, but execution must fit a complete notification and every other applicable condition.

A bathroom, house or commercial property? Photos and a short description help the initial assessment. Complex work may need a site visit or further documents.
