Floor tiles and heating
Ceramic and stone tiles can be firmly bonded to screed. Share the area, visible defects and information about underfloor heating. The retained layer defines the removal boundary.
Wall tiles and backing boards
Tiles may be attached to plaster, masonry or boards. Removing tiles alone is different from taking the wall back to its original substrate. Ask the new bathroom or kitchen installer what condition is needed.
Waste and handover
Adhesion, access and rubble transport affect the method and labour. Removal does not automatically include new plaster, waterproofing or levelling.
What is included?

Work sequence and safety
Photos and documents support the initial assessment. Where needed, a site visit or specialist information follows. Equipment, dust control, protection, sorting and handover fit the actual project. Unknown materials or structural functions require assessment before work continues.
Your Amsterdam property
Include the floor level, access route and permitted lift loads. Shared areas, homeowners’ association arrangements and any protected status are considered when preparing the work.
Frequently asked questions
Will the adhesive also be removed?
Only where included in the agreed scope. Identify the layer that stays and the new installer’s requirements.
Can floor and wall tiles be removed together?
Both can be discussed within one job, with material and substrate assessed for each surface.
